How to Find Us
From the North-West and West
From the junction of the A5 and A488 follow signs towards Shrewsbury. After about one and a half miles you come to a roundabout where the A488 meets the B4380 (the old by-pass, called Roman Road). Turn right here signposted to Meole Brace) and after about a quarter of a mile take the first turning sharp left up Kennedy Road, leaving Shrewsbury School on your left. Follow the sharp bends along Kennedy Road and after about half a mile the road goes downhill and bends to the right. Fork left here downhill (signposted Kingsland Bridge – Private Road), go under a stone bridge and down a steep hill towards the river. Cross the river via the toll bridge (you will need a 20p coin) and turn left at the crossroads. After 50 yards take the first right into St John's Hill. Hardwick House is at number 12 halfway up the street on the right-hand side.
From the North-East and East
From the junction of the A49 and A5 follow signs on the A5 to North Wales, Shrewsbury and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. At the second roundabout, where the A5 again meets the A49, take the third exit on the A5112, signposted to Shrewsbury and the Nuffield Hospital (NB not the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital). At the second roundabout after this take the second exit onto the B4380 (the old by-pass, called Roman Road) signposted to Porthill, the Nuffield Hospital and once again the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. After about a quarter of a mile go straight over the next roundabout and continue down a gentle hill; take the next right turn up Kennedy Road, leaving Shrewsbury School on your left. Follow the sharp bends along Kennedy Road, and after about half a mile the road goes downhill and bends to the right. Fork left here downhill (signposted Kingsland Bridge – Private Road), go under a stone bridge and down a steep hill towards the river.
